#BlackLawyersMatter: Addressing Implicit Bias To Advance Inclusion For Black Attorneys In The Legal Profession
October 13, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
The need to focus on Black attorneys and their experiences has been amplified in 2020. The experiences of the joint pandemics of COVID-19, as well as repeated instances of racial injustice, which were catalyzed by the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor, have made law firms and other legal organizations say “Black Lives Matter”.
This panel will address the experiences of black attorneys in various legal environments, including private practice and the public sector, and discuss strategies to help navigate bias and promote the advancement of Black attorneys.
